Despu\u00e9s de casarse con su esposo Graham, Painter se mud\u00f3 a Houston en 2015 y salt\u00f3 a la escena gastron\u00f3mica de la ciudad, aportando su profundo conocimiento de la cocina tailandesa a restaurantes como Saltair y Theodore Rex. En 2020, los Painters abrieron Street to Kitchen, que ofrece comida tailandesa hecha desde cero basada en las recetas y t\u00e9cnicas de su abuela. Su segundo restaurante en colaboraci\u00f3n con el chef David Skinner, The Preserve at Eculent, abri\u00f3 en 2023 en Kemah, Texas.
