Food & Wine magazine calls it “unmissable.” According to Culturemap, “no other Houston food event delivers quite the same mix of culinary star power, entertainment, and fundraising.” The Houston Chronicle describes it as “an over-the-top barbecue-beer-and-wine festival featuring a lineup of rock-star chefs from here and elsewhere, an all-star cast of professional pitmasters such as Austin legend Aaron Franklin and a couple of great bands for entertainment.”
And it’s all happening again on October 6. The 5th annual Southern Smoke Festival will bring together some of the best chefs and pitmasters in the country, including James Beard Award winners Ashley Christensen, Aaron Franklin, Donald Link and Sarah Grueneberg. And the party is all for a great cause.
The proceeds of the 2019 Southern Smoke Festival will raise funds for both the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, in honor of Houston sommelier Antonio Gianola, and the Southern Smoke Emergency Relief Fund. Southern Smoke was created to “take care of our own.”
