John deBary is a bar expert and author with over a decade of experience in New York City. He’s the creator of Proteau, a line of zero-proof botanical drinks, as well as a co-founder of Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting structural solutions to the quality-of-life crisis facing restaurant workers. He’s also the author of Drink What You Want: The Subjective Guide to Making Objectively Delicious Cocktails, freelance journalist, and Food52’s first Resident Drink Expert.
