Loubel Galik is a Senior Consultant at Sterling Associates and uses her versatile and extensive experience to help clients grow and improve their organizations’ development needs through capital campaigns, major donor cultivation, special events and strategic planning.
After starting her career as an education writer at the Houston Chronicle, Loubel spent 12 years at Pink Ribbons Project, in motion against breast cancer, serving as a Grants Writer, Education Manager, Associate Director and ultimately as Executive Director for three years. During her tenure, Pink Ribbons Project was recognized for its community giving, receiving the National Philanthropy Day Outstanding Service Organization Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Loubel holds a B.A. in American Studies and Journalism from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in Communications from the University of Houston. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Fundraising Professionals Houston and chaired the 2021 Ask the Experts conference – a state-wide forum for development professionals. She and her husband, Al, live in Rice Military and she hopes to get a dog or two very soon.
She is the godmother to five of the most brilliant children on the planet and enjoys travels and adventures around the world, pretending to run around Memorial Park, cheering on her Astros and soaking in the arts, diversity, food and people of her beloved Houston.
