For one night only, Narkara welcomes Chef Benchawan Jabthong Painter of Houston\u2019s acclaimed Street to Kitchen for a special guest chef dinner on Friday, May 29.<\/p>\n
Born in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, Chef Benchawan learned to cook alongside her grandmother using ingredients harvested fresh from rivers, farms, and local fields. After moving to Houston, she brought her bold and unapologetic approach to Thai cooking to life through Street to Kitchen, now recognized nationally as one of America\u2019s standout Thai restaurants.<\/p>\n
In 2023, Chef Benchawan won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Texas, becoming the first Thai chef and first woman to receive the honor. Street to Kitchen has also been recognized by Michelin Bib Gourmand, The New York Times, and Eater.<\/p>\n
Guests will enjoy a special 5-course tasting menu available throughout dinner service from 5PM\u201310PM.
