Devillier moved to New Orleans in 1996 to attend Loyola University, where she earned a degree in Business Management and Marketing. She began her career in management at Martin Wine Cellar, later returning to the University of New Orleans for a Master\u2019s in Accounting and spending three years as a tax accountant with Deloitte &amp; Touche.<\/p>\n<p>Even while building her professional foundation in business and finance, Mia cultivated her lifelong passion for hospitality, holding positions across the service industry for more than 25 years \u2014 including with the House of Blues and restaurants such as Lilette, Juan\u2019s Flying Burrito, and Marigny Brasserie. She joined La Petite Grocery in 2009 as General Manager and, alongside her husband, Chef Justin Devillier, became co-owner in 2010. Under their leadership, La Petite Grocery has earned consistent acclaim, including spots on <em>The Times-Picayune<\/em>\u2019s \u201cNew Orleans\u2019 Top 10 Restaurants\u201d list from 2011\u20132017, <em>\u98df\u5ba2<\/em>\u2019s list of \u201c38 Best Restaurants in America\u201d, and in 2016 Justin was honored with the James Beard Award for Best Chef: South. Mia\u2019s purpose is to create welcoming spaces where joy, genuine service, and meaningful growth thrive. Guided by integrity, compassion, and attention to detail, she fosters teams and environments that celebrate hospitality while supporting professional opportunity and development.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of her professional work, Mia is blessed with three beautiful daughters, two dogs, and two cats. A dedicated practitioner of Pilates, she finds balance and strength in the same way she approaches hospitality \u2014 with intention, discipline, and joy.<\/p>\n<p>Rooted in her Italian heritage, Mia credits her passion for food and wine to her Italian Mother, Cheryle, and late Father, Harley, and her deep sense of Southern hospitality to her late Grandmother, Peggy.
