In 2008, he took over as chef at hot NYC restaurant August, before (ironically) spending the month of August in Houston, helping create the Just 8 Project\u2014a one-month pop-up restaurant with Chef Seth Siegel-Gardner and Chef Justin Yu. Coming back to Houston for good, he and Siegel-Gardner opened The Pass and Provisions, a dual-concept restaurant, in 2012. Gallivan is a two-time nominee for the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Southwest, and The Pass and Provisions was named the sixth best new restaurant in America in 2013 by <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u795d\u60a8\u597d\u80c3\u53e3<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
