In 2013, three childhood friends from Alief, Texas – brothers Robin Wong and Terry Wong, and Quy Hoang – decided to share their backyard barbecue with the masses. Their common love for good friends, good beer, and good BBQ would be featured through monthly pop-ups and barbecue festivals throughout Houston. These events would lead to a cult-like following that demanded a brick-and-mortar, and five years later in 2018, they succumbed to their fans’ wishes and opened a restaurant in Bellaire, Texas. Since, they’ve been featured in multiple national and international publications and television programs. They’ve also been nominated for 《紐約時報》’ 50 Best Restaurants 2021, 《德州月刊》’s Top-50 Texas BBQ Joints 2021, and were a finalist in 2022 for the James Beard Foundation Best Chef: Texas award.
