Chef Matthew Gaudet is a celebrated chef and restaurateur known for his bold, ingredient-driven cooking and thoughtful leadership across both fine dining and fast casual concepts. A Massachusetts native, Gaudet honed his craft in some of New York City’s most acclaimed kitchens—including Eleven Madison Park, Jean-Georges, and Aquavit—before returning to Boston, where he led institutions like Brasserie Jo and Aquitaine. In 2012, he co-founded West Bridge, earning national acclaim from GQ祝您胃口好, 和 美食与美酒, which named him one of America’s Best New Chefs in 2013.

Following West Bridge, Gaudet launched Superfine, a coastal New England concept spotlighting simple, sustainable, vegetable-forward fare. His culinary leadership continued at Rochambeau, Gourmet Caterers, and most recently under Michelin-starred chef John Fraser, overseeing the multi-outlet Winthrop Center project in Boston. In spring 2025, Gaudet joined Sidell Hospitality Group as Culinary Director, where he now guides the kitchens of Saltie Girl in both Boston and Los Angeles, as well as the iconic Stephanie’s on Newbury. With a style rooted in classical technique and layered with global influence, Gaudet continues to shape the next wave of thoughtful, modern American cuisine.
