Max Goldberg is the co-owner of Strategic Hospitality, the company behind many of Nashville’s most celebrated restaurants and bars, The Patterson House, The Catbird Seat, The Band Box and The Country Club at First Horizon Park, Bastion, Henrietta Red, Locust, Kisser, Babychan, multiple venues at Nashville International Airport: Kitty Hawk Eat + Drink, Voodoo Doughnut, The Titans Press Box, and The Music City Shop, and recently announced Sally’s Stay Awhile. Strategic Hospitality also proudly operates Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk, owned by Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, which opened in November 2023. Founded in 2006 as a two-person operation, Strategic Hospitality has grown into a leading hospitality group employing over 500 people.
An active member of the Nashville community, Max serves on multiple boards and is a Leadership Nashville graduate and Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute. His accolades include Forbes’ 30 Under 30, Nashville Business Journal’s Power 100, and Robb Report’s 10 Rising Power Players in American Fine Dining. In 2024, he starred in Amazon Prime’s Friends In Low Places: Building The Oasis. Strategic Hospitality and its team have received multiple James Beard Award nominations, including a 2025 nomination for Outstanding Restaurateur.
