Winner of the 2011 James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: South, Stephen Stryjewski is chef/partner of award-winning New Orleans restaurants Cochon, Cochon Butcher, Peche, La Boulangerie, Gianna, and private event facility Calcasieu. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1997 and worked for notable chefs in restaurants like Commander’s Palace in New Orleans and Vidalia in Washington, D.C. In 2014, Peche won the James Beard Foundation Award for Best New Restaurant. In 2015, he co-created with partner Donald Link the Link Stryjewski Foundation, which addresses the persistent cycle of violence and poverty, along with the lack of quality education and job training opportunities, available to New Orleans youth.
