Support Food + Beverage Workers Affected by the Texas Hill Country Floods

Our hearts are with everyone in the Texas Hill Country.

Southern Smoke provides financial relief during the recovery phase of disasters. We’ve committed $150,000 to support affected F+B workers and are prepared to do more. Sysco will match up to $15,000 in donations to amplify our impact.

The Hill Country Relief Fund application will open August 15. For urgent needs like medical or funeral expenses, F+B workers can apply now through our existing relief fund. Our Behind You program also offers no cost counseling to F+B workers.

Brittanny Anderson is the Chef and Owner of Metzger Bar and Butchery, Brenner Pass, Black Lodge, and The Pink Room in Richmond, VA. Her cooking style focuses on regional flavors from Germany, Austria, and the French and Italian Alps with a little bit of Virginia thrown in for good measure! Brittanny is a two time semi-finalist for the James Beard Award for Best Chef Mid-Atlantic and has been named Starchefs Mid Atlantic Restaurateur of the Year. On television you can see her competing on Bravo’s Top Chef Season 18 as well as Food Network’s Tournament of Champions, Iron Chef America, Last Bite Hotel, 24 in 24, and winning Triple Threat. Her restaurants and recipes have been featured in Food & Wine, Garden and Gun, Elle, and Bon Appetit.
