Hill of Tara is a winery inspired by founder Danny Fay’s Irish roots and named after Ireland’s sacred Hill of Tara, land that his family proudly farmed and preserved from 1928 to 1974. In pursuing his lifelong dream of organically farming his own grapes and handcrafting his own wines in his hometown, Hill of Tara Winery was born in 2015.

The Hill of Tara team is dedicated to creating wines with profound depth that are expressive of place and time. This place is the unique and coveted Moon Mountain in the beautiful region of Sonoma Valley. Each bottle speaks as an homage to Danny’s Irish heritage and lineage of exceptional farming. It also speaks to the unique terroir on Moon Mountain, a special section of the Mayacamas mountain range separating Sonoma and Napa Valley.
