Respect the Rosé: Run for the Rosés

We’ve been drinking pink wine with some of our favorite chefs since 2016! Our favorite theme party is back with Respect the Rosé: Run for the Rosés, presented by Lexus, at Brennan’s of Houston on Saturday, June 29. Some of our favorite chefs will collaborate on a multi-course extravaganza made even better by a selection of first-class rosés and other wines from our favorite producers.

Southern Smoke Festival

SAVE THE DATE! The big bash returns in 2024. Join us on Saturday, October 5 as we host some of the F+B industry’s most talented chefs and personalities and throw a party to support F+B in crisis nationwide. You’ll eat your share in big and bold bites; have your choice of superb wine, beer, and spirits; and enjoy outstanding live music to enhance the chow-down experience. Proceeds will benefit Southern Smoke Foundation, which has distributed more than $11 million to F+B workers nationwide. Help our cause and rock out with us this October!

A Southern Smoke Foundation Dinner

Austin, TX

Pecan Square Cafe is excited to host “A Southern Smoke Foundation Dinner”—a pop-up with legendary Houston chef Chris Shepherd, founder of Southern Smoke Foundation. Chris will join PSC Executive Chef Chelsea Fadda to showcase a few of his signature dishes (ahem, Korean-inspired Braised Goat Dumplings) as well as new favorites. MML Hospitality recently partnered with SSF with financial support of the foundation as well as collaborating on future fundraising through events, programs, and special activations in Austin and beyond. Both the special Southern Smoke Foundation Dinner menu and PSC’s menu will be available.

Learn about how to prepare for a crisis and how to apply for crisis grants; no cost mental health resources for F+B resources in 10 states and D.C.; tips on financial fitness. Panelists include Jesse H. Walker, M.A., Southern Smoke liaison and clinical psychology doctoral candidate at the University of Houston; Chefs Ashley Christensen, Edgar Rico and Tavel Bristol-Joseph; Southern Smoke Chief Mission Officer Cat Bill; Southern Smoke Founding Director Chris Shepherd; and moderator Matthew Odam of the Austin American-Statesman.
