Update on Our Hurricane Response

F+B workers affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton: Applications for both storms close at 6 p.m. CST on November 25. You must apply online for assistance.

We have received over 3,500 disaster relief applications, and our small and mighty team is still working through more than 2,800. Cases are processed in the order in which they were received. We are distributing weekly updates regarding processing time; please watch for emails from our team!

If you applied for assistance unrelated to these disasters, we are working as quickly as possible to process your case. Please reach out to your case manager directly or casemanagement@southernsmoke.org for any updates. Thank you for your patience during this time of unprecedented volume.

We are so grateful for the outpouring of support, and thanks to generous donors, to date we have granted $699,500 to 487 F+B workers affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Southern Smoke Festival 2024, presented by Alaska Seafood, raised $1.5 million for the food and beverage community. We will be back in Fall 2025 for more great food, drinks and music to take care of our own. Thank you to everyone who cooked, poured, and attended. We couldn’t do what we do without you.

Back to the Future Dinner at Feges BBQ

June 9 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join Feges BBQ for Back to the Future, a collaborative dinner with seven of our chef (and beverage!) friends from their pre-Feges days in support of the Southern Smoke Foundation. They’ll gather around the butcher’s table, share cherished memories, and recreate some of their favorite dishes from the aughts with a modern twist. The single-seating, family-style multi-course dinner will come with beverage selections by Southern Smoke Foundation’s Beverage Director, Matthew Pridgen, for a nostalgic and delicious Sunday Supper. All proceeds from this event will go to SSF to support individuals in the F+B industry with emergency relief funding and access to mental health services at no cost.
