As Flour + Water Hospitality Group’s 20th Street Executive Chef. Rachel Orner oversees the culinary direction at Flour + Water, Penny Roma and Flour + Water Pasta Shop in the Mission District. In her leadership position, Rachel thrives on cultivating an environment where creativity and teamwork is celebrated every day. Originally from Philly, Rachel has lived in the Bay Area for 15 years, and has been with the Flour + Water team since 2017. With her love for the beauty and simplicity of Italian cuisine crafted with high-quality, seasonal ingredients, Rachel has made an indelible impact on the group’s 20th Street restaurants — initially at the O.G. Flour + Water, and subsequently with Penny Roma’s opening in 2021.
